Scarves are great accessories to add to your wardrobe due to their versatility. If you want your outfit to pop, you can just toss a scarf around your neck and you're ready to tackle the day. If you want to keep your scarves in good condition, how to guides such as this one will help you learn the basics of scarf care.

Storing Your Scarves

Ideally, you should hang your scarves with scarf or coat hangers. Scarf hangers are better because they have circles to drape the scarves.

However, you can also keep your scarves in one of your drawers or in an accessory basket. Rather than just tossing the scarves in your accessory basket, you should take the time to neatly fold the scarves. This will prevent the scarves from getting wrinkled. If the scarves are made out of wool, you should place lavender sachets with the scarves in order to ward away moths. This is especially essential if you plan on keeping the scarves in storage for extended periods of time.scarves_online

Pay Attention to Care Instructions

In many cases, people can get away with ignoring the care instructions for clothing garments like t-shirts and jeans. However, the easiest way to ruin your beloved scarves is by refusing to pay attention to care instructions. Before you even try to wash or dry your scarves, you should read the care instructions on the tag carefully.
